Frequently Asked Questions

What is the advantage of choosing mature hedges over younger ones?

Mature hedges provide instant privacy, beauty, and screening. We have been growing them for five years, allowing them to reach a significant height and density, saving you years of waiting for your hedge to grow.

Please note: We sell hedges by the meter, so two mature plants! We do not sell individual plants or seedlings.

How much are your plants?

This depends on a few factors – height, variety, and meterage required. We recommend you pop out to visit us to select your hedges so we can better understand what you require to price accordingly. Get in touch with us to book a time to visit.

How tall and thick are the mature hedges available?

Our mature hedges typically range from 1 to 1.5 meters in height and 35-40cm in width (density), providing an immediate and effective barrier for privacy and aesthetics.

What species of hedges do you offer?

We offer a variety of popular hedge species, including Griselinia Littoralis, Elaeagnus x Ebbingei, Prunus Lusitanica Portuguese Laurel and more. Check our catalogue for specific options.

Can I plant mature hedges at any time of the year?

While it’s possible to plant mature hedges in various seasons, spring or autumn are generally ideal. This allows the plants to establish roots without the stress of extreme temperatures.

Do you provide delivery and planting services for mature hedges?

Yes, we can arrange delivery and recommend some local professional planting services to ensure your mature hedges are installed correctly and thrive in their new environment.

What is the lifespan of mature hedges?

With proper care, mature hedges can live for several decades. Regular maintenance, including watering, fertilising, and pruning, contributes to their longevity.
